I am looking to get a compact in the 25hp range w/loader,hydro.trans.,r4 tires, and a 6ft rear finish mower. Have driven both models of tractors and have heard alot about the boomers(mostly good). i have not however heard much feedback from any cub 7265 owners on how the cubs perform. the boomers are about $1200 less on a comparable model(being the tc25d) but cub does offer a 3yr warrenty on the whole tractor and 5yr. on the drive train compared with 1yr bumper to bumper and 3yr. on drive train for the N.H. Questions I have are:How good are cubs loaders compared with others as far as durability and load capacity, how are cubs line of mowers compared to after markets such as land pride or woods. The last question would be what kind of prices have others been quoted on a 7265. I have only one local cub dealer and he mostly handles small garden and lawn tractors(he did have a 7360 W/loader on his lot, that I got to drive)and wasn't too knowledgable of the larger models. I was quoted $13,600 for a 7265 which is a 26hp 4wd hydro.trans. and $3200 for a 476 cub loader. a aftermarket mower would be around $15,000. The N.H. tc25d with same setup would be $17,650. I like both but wanted to hear from some Cub owners since talk about cubs are rather sparce. Any input would be appreciated.

I own a Cub 7260 w/R4s, 417 loader and 60" middeck. Bought it in Jan 99.Currently have 95 hours, about half of these are digging and moving piles(earth, gravel, mulch, etc).I am VERY pleased with the Cub tractor and 417 loader. It handles 1/2 tonbucket loads easily. The loader goes on and off easily. The tractor itselfis very well made and feels solid. I have no regrets at all.If you have specific questions, drop me a note. ....

The Cub Cadet 7265 is an excellent tractor and has very good reliabilty record.Theloader for the tractor is the WOods loader as well as the mid mower. The Cadet loader has more breakout and lift than the New HOlland. but the NH fits the tractor really nice. The price you where quoted seems reasonable also. email me and i will send you a prcie quote for the 7265 with 417 loader we have both units in stock ....
